1895 Marmontel's Moral Tales by George Saintsbury

This is a beautiful edition of Marmontel's Moral Tales, edited by George Saintsbury.
Published by George Allen in 1895.
Illustrated by Chris Hammond. 
Bound in dark green boards with a vibrant gilt pictorial design and letters to the front cover and spine. The boards are in good condition with minimal signs of wear. There is a small bubble to the fabric on the upper rear cover, and a very faint pale mark to the front cover - both are minor but included for accuracy. Dark green endpapers, both front and rear endpapers have a a beautiful black and white illustration which has been added, I presume by a previous owner. The pages are clean and there are numerous black and white illustrations throughout.
