This is an 8 volume complete set of The Greville Memoirs: A Journal of the Reigns of King George IV, King William IV and Queen Victoria, by the late Charles C. F. Greville, Esq. Clerk of the Council to those Sovereigns. Published in 1896 by Longmans, Green and Co. Eight volumes, uniformly bound in burgundy cloth with silver lettering to the spine. The boards are in good overall condition, though it has clearly been used. All volumes have scuffing to the surface of the boards, and some bumping and rubbing to the edges, corners and to the head and tail of the spine. Volume VII has four small splash marks to the upper rear cover and a nick to the lower spine, and volume one has minor splash marks to the lower rear cover. Some volumes have plain brown endpapers whilst others have decorative brown endpapers. Spotting to the page edges. Pages lightly age toned with some occasional foxing. Volume VII is shaken in comparison to the others. This is a heavy set, weighing 6kg without packaging. Each volume measures 19cm x 13.5cm
