This is a very good copy of Hood's melodramatic ghost story in verse. Original green cloth with gilt decorations, cream stamping to front board, all edges gilt. The boards are in very good condition with some light rubbing and bumping to the corners and to the head and tail of the spine. The rear cover has a strip of light spotting to the upper board and a slight bubble under the cloth. Both insignificant. Plain endpapers with an ownership label to the front pastedown for Miss Alice Godwin-Austen. The contents are beautifully clean and bright with some light foxing to the endpapers.
