This is an absolutely stunning set of The Life and Works of Charlotte Bronte and her Sisters. with introductions to the works by Mrs Humphrey Ward and an introduction to the notes to the life by Clement K. Shorter. 
Complete in Seven Volumes, with portraits and illustrations. 
Published between 1900 and 1910 by Smith, Elder & Co. 
Each volume is bound in green cloth with gilt initials to the front cover and gilt lettering to the spine. The boards to all volumes are in very good + condition with some light wear to the edges, corners and to the head and tail of the spine. Black endpapers. Contents consistently clean and bright - pages slightly age toned with only very minor occasional foxing, if any. There is some age spotting to the page edges but only noticeable when closed. Each volume has a frontispiece with tissue guard. Top edges gilt.
