This is a beautiful edition of poetry by Alfred Lord Tennyson, quarter bound in vellum with green cloth boards. The spine features an attractive gilt Art Nouveau style decoration with gilt lettering over a blue title band. To the front board there is a gilt crest for 'Brentwood Southport.' The boards are in very good condition with only minor surface soiling, minor discolouration to the vellum as is usual and light wear to the extremities. There is an ink inscription to the front free endpaper dated 1910 - this book was given as a prize to Marjorie Brown for passing Junior Cambridge with distinction in religious knowledge. The contents are beautifully clean and bright throughout.
