Blue cloth with pictorial onlay to the front board and gilt lettering to the spine. The boards are in very good condition with some light rubbing and bumping to the corners and to the head and tail of the spine. Very minor crinkling to the cloth of the lower rear board. Pencil inscription to the front free endpaper. Contents lightly age toned with the occasional spot of foxing - otherwise clean and bright throughout. Illustrated with four colour plates including the frontispiece and numerous in text and full page line drawings.  A very good copy indeed.
