This is beautiful, trade edition of The Rhinegold & The Valkyrie, illustrated by Arthur Rackham. Bound in brown buckram with gilt lettering and a small vignette to the front cover and gilt lettering to the spine. The boards are in very good condition with only light rubbing and bumping to the extremities. The contents are age toned with some browning to the endpapers - they are other clean and bright. Featuring 34 full page tipped in colour plates, including the frontispiece, by Arthur Rackham - all present and in lovely condition. 
Complete with the original dust jacket which has not fared so well. The front section is detached from the rear section. (see pictures) Otherwise, it is edge-worn with a couple of small areas of loss, a tear to the upper right front cover and a tear to the spine. With careful repair, the dust jacket could serve it's purpose again, particularly as most of it is there.
