The Little Bookroom won the Carnegie Medal in 1955 - the Carnegie Medal is a British literary award that annually recognises one outstanding new book for children or young adults. Published in 1955 by Oxford University Press. Featuring lovely illustrations by Edward Ardizzone. Bound in the original brown cloth with gilt lettering to the spine. The boards are in very good condition with minimal signs of wear. Complete with the original unclipped dust jacket which is also in very good condition. There are some signs of wear to the edges, and a small tear at the bottom edge, but otherwise good. The contents are clean and bright and free from inscriptions.
