Bound in green cloth with a lovely gilt design and lettering to the spine. The book has a slight forward lean and there is some light bumping to the edges, corners and to the head and tail of the spine, and a couple of minor marks to the boards - otherwise very good. The black endpapers have faded with lighter patches around the edges. Inscription to half title page. The pages are lightly age toned. Pages 169-176 have a small section of paper that has been torn away -this is in the margin and does not affect the text - as pictured. Overall a very good copy of this popular book.
