This is the sixth story in Enid Blyton's popular 'Adventure Series' and tells the story of the much-loved characters Philip, Dinah, Jack, Lucy-Ann, Bill Smugs and Kiki the parrot as they go off on a cruise and things begin to happen!
First UK edition. First printing. Original decorated beige cloth featuring brown/blue pictorial detail and lettering to the front cover and spine. The boards are in very good condition with minimal signs of wear. The dust jacket is unclipped displaying the original 8s. 6d price, and it is in good condition with a small area of loss to the lower spine and some minor chips to the edges. Tape has been added to the reverse of the jacket, I assume to strengthen/preserve those areas with wear. Plain endpapers with an ink inscription to the rear pastedown. Illustrated frontispiece and title page. Contents lightly age toned but otherwise clean and bright. Minor age spotting to page edges. Overall a beautiful copy of this highly collectable book!
