Black faux leather featuring a gilt crest and gilt lettering to the front cover. The boards are in very good condition with only light wear to the corners and to the head and tail of the spine. Marbled endpapers. There is a crack to the hinge at the front free endpaper revealing webbing, but this is superficial only. The book is firmly bound. Large ink inscription to the reverse of the front free endpaper. The contents are very lightly age toned with minor foxing to a single page at the front and rear of the book. There is a small sticker to the bottom edge of p.499 which covers the last few lines of text. I have not attempted to remove it. All edges gilt.
