Original publisher's grey cloth with gilt pictorial detail and lettering to the front cover. The boards are in very good condition with some lighter patches to the front and rear boards and some rubbing/bumping to the corners and to the head and tail of the spine. Ink inscription to the front free endpaper dated Aug 12th 31 [1931].  Contents light age toned with some browning to the front and rear endpapers and some occasional light foxing. To say this book is profusely illustrated is actually an understatement! It has 40 full page plates including the frontispiece. Collated complete. Overall a beautiful and highly collectible edition.
