Burgundy cloth featuring a beautifully decorative gilt design and title to the spine and plain front and rear boards. The boards are in uniformly very good condition with only the lightest signs of wear to the extremities. Neat ink name to the front free endpaper of each volume. The contents are lightly age toned with minimal spots of foxing. Volumes II and III have small tears to the outer edge of four pages at the start of the book, as does Volume IV, only the affected pages are more significant. I have included a couple of photographs which I hope will accurately depict this, but should you require more, please do not hesitate to ask. This is otherwise a beautiful set, despite the damage to the page edges.
