This is a beautiful edition of The Children at the Pole, from the 'Willy Pogany Children' series. Letterpress by Lionel Fable. Published c.1914 by George Harrap & Company: London. Printed by Vincent Books, Day & Son Ltd, London. 
It is unusual to find this book in such lovely condition. Pictorial boards which are in very good condition. There is some rubbing and bumping to the edges, and a few brown spots to the boards, but they are otherwise in good solid condition. A fold out panorama featuring a two page map of the polar regions followed by the story on one side, and then colour illustrations with the verse beneath on the other side. All pages are beautifully clean and bright with only slight age toning. 
A unique and truly beautiful children's book.
