c1890 The Life and Times of Queen Victoria in 4 volumes.

This is a complete four volume set entitled The Life and Times of Queen Victoria.
N.d - published circa 1890. Limited edition. 
Blue cloth boards with gilt lettering and gilt designs to the front cover and spine. All edges gilt. 
Beautifully illustrated. 
The binding of each volumes remains tight. The boards are bumping/rubbing to the edges and corners, and there is some fraying to the bottom of the spines. Each volume has suffered damage to the head of the spine, as shown in the image. This does affect the aesthetic appearance of the books as the damage is visible when the books are shelved - however is has not affected the functionality of the books. 
Each volume has a publisher's note attached to the front pastedown stating 'This Edition is prepared for subscription only, and is not obtainable through the general booksellers.' 
Each volume has some spotting/age toning throughout, but overall the pages are clean and in good readable condition.
