This handsome set is bound in uniform contemporary half calf over blue/gold marbled paper backed boards, with matching marbled endpapers which are vibrant and compliment the boards beautifully. The spines are non-uniformly sunned, with some obvious rubbing to the head, tails and raised bands which gives it a weathered (yet wonderful) appearance.  All boards are securely attached, bindings are secure and without shelf lean. There is some light soiling to the surface of the boards with a few chips to the leather here and there, but nothing significant. No attached bookplates or ownership inscriptions located. The page edges are heavily foxed and I have included a photograph to demonstrate this - it does only affect the edges, as internally the contents are very clean throughout each volume. The volumes are uncollated but appear to all be complete, most volumes are illustrated throughout as one might expect. Top edge gilt.
