Description: Half-bound in dark navy cloth with green/gold/blue marbled boards and gilt lettering/decoration to spine. All volumes are in very solidly bound and in good condition. There is some light scuffing to the boards and some rubbing and bumping to the edges, corners and to the head and tail of the spine on all volumes. All spines are beautifully clean and bright. The contents are lightly age toned but clean and bright. Plain endpapers with some browning to all volumes. A couple of volumes have a small sticker which has what looks like bookseller notes on - I have left these in place to avoid tearing the page below. There is a tear to p.209 of The Pickwick Papers. 
Overall a very handsome set and one that is certainly gift-worthy.
