This is a beautiful and scarce first edition of The Reign of the Princess Naska by Amelia Hutchison Stirling. Bound in the original publisher's blue decorative cloth featuring an attractive Art Nouveau design by Talwin Morris to the front cover and spine, and gilt lettering to both cover and spine. The boards are in very good condition - there is some rubbing and bumping to the edges and corners, and the book has a forward lean as shown in the image provided. Grey endpapers with an ink inscription to the front free endpaper dated 1898. The contents are light age toned but otherwise cleaning and bright. There are a couple of cracks to the hinge internally but they are superficial and the book is firmly bound. Featuring 32 pages of advertisements to the rear of the book. 
 
Overall a highly collectible children's book in unusually good condition.
