This really is a beautiful edition. Bound in full Moroccan leather by R & A Suttaby: London. Featuring an attractive emblem to each corner of the front board and each side of the five raised bands to the spine.The boards are in very good condition with minimal signs of wear. Lovely marbled endpapers - there are the remains of a sticker on the front free endpaper - it looks like a small area of the marbled paper has come off, but that is not the case. It is sticker remains and I removed a small piece to see.( it does come off without affecting the marbled paper, with care!) Featuring a hand drawn picture along with an inscription gifting the book for Christmas 1889. The contents are age toned with the odd handling mark/spot of foxing - otherwise clean and bright. All edges vibrant gilt.
