Original publisher's red decorative cloth featuring a gilt island scene and gilt lettering to the front cover and spine. The boards are in very good condition, with some bumping to the corners and light shelf wear to edges, corners and to the head and tail of the spine. Decorative endpaper which are clean and bright to the front of the book, but have been removed to the rear of the book.Ink inscription to the verso of the front free endpaper dated 1943. Featuring twelve beautiful tipped in colour plates by T. H. Robinson, including the frontispiece. The contents are lightly age toned with moderate foxing throughout.
