This book is hardback, bound in the original cloth binding with the original dust jacket. The dust jacket is complete, with wear and some some small tears around the edges, head and tail of the spine. It has darkened with age and is significantly tanned at the edges. There is some soiling to the jacket on both sides, but the beautiful design with its delicate colours is still clear. 
The boards of the book are in very good condition, with minimal signs of wear. There is a small amount of bumping to the head and tail of the spine, but that is all. Bound in a beige/light brown cloth, with a red pictorial design and grey lettering to the front cover and spine. 
The pages are clean and free from any inscriptions. They are slightly age toned but nothing significant. 
There are 24 full page illustrations by Harry Clarke in addition to several black and white illustrations. All illustrations are present and in superb condition. 
This book measures 11 x 9 inches with 128 pages. 
Overall this book, in its original dust jacket, is in remarkably good condition, making it both desirable and collectable.
