Grey cloth boards with red pictorial detail and lettering to the front cover and spine. The boards are in good overall condition, though there is a white area to the bottom right hand corner of the front board and bottom left on the rear board. This in no way affects the contents. Otherwise the boards are clean, with some light foxing to the spine as is typical with this book, and some light wear to the extremities. Ink inscriptions to both the front pastedown and front free endpaper. The contents are clean and bright with some light age toning and minor foxing. Rear endpapers beautifully clean. Complete with original unclipped dust jacket [6s. net] which has somewhat tatty around the edges with some loss to the upper and lower spine. The rear of the dust jacket features an advertisement for Hodder & Stoughton;s 'Colour Books.'
